The 11th NY Regiment - USV

About US

The 11th NY Regiment is the New York Metro Area unit of the United States Volunteers - America, Inc.,  a Not-For-Profit Veteran Service Organization (VSO) recognized by the Veteran Service Administration of the US Dept. of Defense as an Authorized Provider (AP3) of Final Military Honors for eligible veterans of America’s armed forces.

Members are a combination of retired military and patriotic citizens who donate their time to honor our nation’s heroes and to participate in other Patriotic Parades and Memorials to recognize our active duty troops and veterans.

No one is salaried and members bear all costs of membership fees, uniforms and operations.

The USV operates as a Military Society. Members wear a modified US Army uniform to create an appearance that is professional and respectful while distinguishing them as US law requires, from Active Duty and Retired military personnel.

For more information, any other questions or a request to have the USV help with a Funeral or Memorial contact, contact the S-3, MAJ. Robert Burns at rjburns19@aol.com   or Chief Howard Jackson, S6 at author837@gmail.com
